Miami Coral Park Senior High School is the home to a dedicated and caring community of teachers, students, and parents that are committed to education. The architecture magnet is part of the whole magnet program which includes the Engineering, Construction, and Biomedical magnet. 

The architecture magnet has strong relationships with Turner Construction, ACE, Florida International University, and local businesses for mentorship, internships, and other opportunities that allow the students to interact with professionals in the field.  Our students are encouraged to participate in rigorous courses, local and national competitions, and internships. 

Magnet Results

Securing a magnet seat at Miami Coral Park Senior High School is an exciting milestone.
Below is your quick start guide to accepting the seat and ensuring your child is fully enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year.

You have exactly ten (10) business days from the notification date to accept the seat. If you do not accept by this date, the seat will be forfeited and offered to the next student on the waitlist.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Acceptance Process
1. Log In to the Parent Portal
  • Tip: Use the same Google or Apple ID you used for the application.
  • Click on the "Admissions Application" tile.
2. Formally Accept the Seat
Once inside the Magnet Application system, you will see your child’s status.
  • Click "Accept" next to Miami Coral Park Senior High.
  • Warning: Accepting this seat will automatically decline any other Magnet offers your child received. Your child will, however, remain on the waitlist for any programs where they were not initially accepted.
3. Complete the Magnet Acceptance Packet
After clicking accept online, you should receive a confirmation email.
  • Click here to obtain the Magnet Acceptance Packet.
  • Sign it and submit it here
4. Magnet Lead Welcome Email
  • Magnet Lead Teacher Mrs. Ambar Alfaro will send you a welcome email detailing any additional steps, as well as subject selection 
Out-of-state, private, and select charter school students are advised to register at the school site:
📋 Documents You Will Need for Registration
When you visit the school to finalize enrollment, bring the following:
  • Proof of Acceptance: A printout of your acceptance confirmation from the portal.
  • Parent ID: Valid government-issued photo identification.
  • Proof of Address: A recent utility bill (light or water).
  • Health Forms: Florida Certificate of Immunization (Blue Card) and a physical exam (Yellow Form) performed within the last year.
  • Transcripts: Your child’s most recent report card/transcript.

💡 Quick Tips for Success
  • Transportation: Check the portal or ask the school immediately if your child is eligible for "Magnet Transportation." Not all zones are covered.

  • Join the PTSA! Support our extracurricular program with your membership

Vision

At Miami Coral Park Senior High School, the architecture program exposes students to the tools needed for their future and opportunities beyond the school walls that provide association with professional organizations in the community. This cultivates enthusiasm for pursuing post-secondary education and careers related to architecture.

Mission

The mission of the Miami Coral Park Senior High School Architecture Magnet Program is to excite and enlighten students about careers in the field of architecture. The students are introduced to a project-based curriculum through a combination of art and technology classes that engage them in problem-solving and encourage teamwork. They are encouraged to use critical thinking skills and apply their knowledge to make real life connections.

Requirements

The Miami Coral Park Architecture Magnet Program is a rigorous arts/academic program. In order to succeed in this program, students must meet the following requirements prior to entering the program.

Complete Algebra 1 (honors) in middle school.

GPA in Science and Math classes (combined) must be a 3.0 "B" or higher.

Conduct must be a 3.0 "B" or higher.

Effort must be 1's and 2's.
