American Sign Language

Students can participate in the American Sign Language club and take part in extra curricular activities while interacting with the deaf community.
Students participating in the American Sign Language (ASL) Curriculum will be able to hold basic to moderate level conversations with people in the Deaf Community. Miami Coral Park offers students the ability to take three levels of ASL. These classes satisfy the World Language requirement for college bound students.
In the classes student will learn weekly vocabulary terms and how to translate songs into ASL. During the holidays, students have the opportunity to spreed cheer utilizing Sign Language throughout the school.
